Light winds today, but strengthening tonight
Good morning,
High pressure influences the British Isles today, centred over Ireland and the south-west. A weakening cold front will have passed southwards overnight, leaving an extensively fair day with lots of sunshine.
Early fog patches for western Britain and also Ireland will soon clear this morning. North-west Scotland may stay rather cloudy.
Fairly light north to north-westerly winds, although strengthening westerlies affect Scotland, and winds will increase for most places tonight, leading to a windy day for all on Saturday.
Today's top temperatures will be a few degrees lower than recent days in southern areas, highs 13 to 15C, and around 10 to 12C in the north.
Have a great day. Garry
