Morning Call - August 11, 2017
Damp north & west
Better start to east

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 11th August 2017
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Cloudy and damp north and west but drier and brighter east and south

Good morning,

A fair start to the day on Friday across central and eastern parts of England. Good spells of sunshine to come here through the morning, although it will be clouding up into this afternoon.

Further north and west it is a damper start to the day. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle with fog on the hills and coasts. This rain and drizzle edging eastwards into this afternoon so that many western and southern coasts see the periods of drizzle or patchy rain. Increasingly breezy.

Cloudy and rather breezy tonight with some more spots of drizzle over hills and coasts, mostly to the west and south. Showers rain clears southeast England in the early hours.
