Morning Call - August 14, 2017
Dry, sunnier east
Wet in the north & west

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 14 August 2017
Duty forecaster: John Ejdowski

After a mostly settled, dry weekend, a change coming today as a weather system spreads outbreaks of rain into northern and western parts of Britain. While this will be fairly light in the south, it looks quite heavy in the north. In the afternoon this turns heavy as well across Wales and south west England. A dry bight day further east. Highs will range from 15 to 24 Celsius.

Expect spells of moderate to heavy rain across Scotland, northern England, Wales and the Midlands into Dorset this evening as it turns dry across south west England and Northern Ireland. That area of rain clears away to the north east overnight with a risk of some heavy showers possible across the south east of England. Expect minimum temperatures of 12 to 16 Celsius.

If you are heading abroad it's looking quite hot and summery across much of Europe.
