Morning Call - October 26, 2017
Fairly cloudy
Mild south, fresher north

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 26th October 2017
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Patchy drizzly rain, amounting to very little

Good morning,

Slack high pressure influences the British Isles today, with areas of high pressure centred over the north Atlantic, and also central Europe.

The remnants of a front lie across central Britain & Ireland, resulting in a zone of cloud and patchy drizzle, mainly in around western coasts and hills. The south-west may be rather murky. Some brighter spells toward the south-east.

Low pressure over southern Scandinavia produces a westerly breeze for northern Britain. Largely dry for Scotland & Northern Ireland. A few showers in north-west Scotland.

Today's top temperatures will reach 15 to 18C in southern England; nearer 12 to 14C in northern areas.

Have a great day.
Garry
