Morning Call - July 31, 2017
Heavy showers
Largely dry south-east

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 31st July 2017
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Sunny spells, breezy

Good morning,

Low pressure centred toward the north maintains showery weather for the north & west of Britain and across Ireland.

Some slow-moving thundery downpours are possible for Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands. Bands of heavy showers are likely for Wales, the south-west and also locally across northern England.

A few showers will pass east across the Midlands by the afternoon, but the south & south-east of England should be largely dry with good spells of sunshine.

Brisk south-westerly winds, strongest around the Irish Sea, but sudden gusts almost anywhere around showers.

Today's top temperatures will be 16 to 19C in the north & west, 20 to 23C for central & eastern England.

Have a great day.
