Thundery downpours south & south-east

Good morning,

A broad area of low pressure is centred over the Low Countries today, drifting slowly north into the North Sea, and deepening through the day.

Various fronts encircle the low, bringing areas of persistent rain or heavy showers. Some local slow-moving thundery downpours in the afternoon and evening, particularly focused toward the south-east.

Driest toward the north of Britain & Ireland, with sunny spells and well scattered showers. North to northwesterly winds tending to strengthen in all regions.

Today's temperatures will range from 13 to 15C where rain persists, up to highs of 17 to 20C.

Have a great day.
