Morning Call - March 10, 2018
Turning Milder
Damp and Drizzly

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 10th March 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

It will turn much milder, from the south, through the day but especially across England and Wales but it will be an unsettled day for many

Good morning,

It's a mostly cloudy and damp start to the weekend with a region of light or moderate, locally heavy rain and drizzle continuing to more northwards across parts of N Ireland, N England and Scotland, locally wintry on highest hills. DRier and brighter weather is following across England and Wales, but with locally heavy showers expected into the south-west by the end of the morning.

Through the afternoon and showers and perhaps longer spells of rain, with local downpours, will continue to move northwards across much of the British Isles and merging with the earlier rain across Scotland by the end of the afternoon leading to a particularly wet period of weather here. DRier and brighter though across southern and south-western areas of England as the afternoon progresses. All areas feeling much milder than of late.

Into Saturday evening and rain and showers will gradually clear away to the north of Scotland and then most of the British Isles will have a mainly dry night with clear spells and variable cloud, some mist and fog patches developing and a less-cold night than of late too. Some showers perhaps arriving across SW England late in the night.
