Morning Call - August 21, 2017
Warmer, cloudy south
Heavy rain in the north

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 21 August 2017
Duty forecaster: John Ejdowski

The unsettled spell of weather we had over the weekend will continue today as a warm front spreads outbreaks of heavy rain in across Northern Ireland, northern England and southern parts of Scotland. More humid across Wales, central and southern parts of England and warmer too. Expect a good deal of low cloud and mistiness with any patchy drizzle fading as it brightens up in the afternoon. Highs will range from 17 to 24 Celsius.

Expect spells of moderate to heavy rain to clear from northern England and Northern Ireland in the evening and becomes confined to Scotland through the night. England and Wales will be mainly dry with low cloud and mist developing overnight. It will be humid and warm by night with minimum temperatures of 13 to 17 Celsius.

If you are heading abroad it's looking quite hot and summery across much of central and western parts of Europe with showers in the east.
