Morning Call - April 30, 2018
Wet and Windy South and East
Drier Elsewhere

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 30th April 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

A wet and windy day is forecast for more southern and particularly eastern areas of England, drier and sunnier elsewhere, chilly for all

Good morning,

It's a wet and windy start to Monday morning across SE England with heavy rain and a strong or near gale force N or NE'ly wind, this making for a particularly cold feel too. Elsewhere it is dry with some bright or sunny spells, but it has been a cold start in the north and west with some frost first thing, along with a few mist and fog patches as well.

Residual wet and windy weather will continue to linger across parts of E England into Monday evening and overnight, but elsewhere after some evening sunshine it will then be dry overnight with clear spells and it will, once again, be another chilly night especially in the countryside across N England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales with possible mist, fog and frost developing.
