Friday
Cold northerly winds will affect England & Wales again. Many places will be dry and bright with good amounts of sunshine. A few wintry showers around coasts in the east & south-east, locally moving inland to give a dusting of snow. Local shower bands around Pembrokeshire and Cornwall should fade. A warm front moves into Scotland from the north-west, bringing thickening cloud and outbreaks of rain, preceded by snow. Highs 3 to 6C.


Friday night
A warm front sinks slowly south-eastwards across Britain overnight. A zone of patchy rain, sleet or hill snow will move south across southern Scotland, northern England, Wales and Ireland. Extensive low cloud and hill fog developing, leading to a murky and drizzly start for many to start Saturday. A light west to northwesterly breeze. Dipping below freezing early in the night in the south, but lifting slowly to 2 to 5C for most.


Saturday
A weak warm front will have drifted south across Britain in the early hours, resulting in extensive low cloud and murk to start the morning. Patchy drizzly rain for some areas, but amounting to very little overall. Some brighter skies may develop in eastern areas, although sunshine generally rare. A light northwesterly breeze. Not as cold as previous days, but still cool at 5 or 6C for many places, up to 10C in the far south-west.


Sunday
Weak fronts draped acrss the country produce largely cloudy skies and patchy rain or drizzle. Amounts generally small, but it may stay dull and damp in central & south-western areas most of the day. North-eastern Britain may see some cloud breaks and a little sun. Winds staying light northwesterly. Some stubborn fog patches in southern areas. Slightly milder than previous days at 6 to 9C for most, nearer 11C in the south-west.
