Rain on Wednesday

Tuesday
More showers for western parts of Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland this morning, some of them heavy. Drier and brighter in the east and south with good spells of sunshine here. However, showers are going to be breaking out more widely across the UK and Ireland during the day, one or two on the heavy side with a risk of hail and thunder. Few showers affecting the southeast corner of the UK where the best of the sunshine will be. The showers tending to ease in western areas in the afternoon and evening. Highs at 17C in northern Scotland, 24C in southeast England.


Tuesday Night
Showers are going to be fading through the evening to leave the night dry for most. There will be clearer skies developing and the risk of some mist patches in more sheltered eastern areas towards the morning. Increasing coud across Ireland and southwest England brings patchy rain here by daybreak. Lows at 7 to 12C.
 


Wednesday
An area of low pressure is going to be to the west of Ireland on Wednesday. Fronts associated with the low will be pushing north and east through the country bringing cloud and rain with them. Most of the rain in Ireland, Wales, southern England and the Midlands into the morning, this then spreading to southern and western Scotland, northern and eastern England in the afternoon. Brighter but showery weather follows into Ireland and the west of England and Wales. Staying dry in the far north of Scotland throughout the day. Windy for all. Highs at 16 to 19C.


Thursday
Low pressure passing through Scotland on Thursday. This is going to be bringing another unsettled day across the UK and Ireland. There will be showers, some of them heavy, these tending to pass through in bands. The showers may be thundery at times and there is a risk of hail too. The most persistent of them in the north and west. The best of any sunshine to the east and south. Windy for all with highs at 15 to 23C.
