Sunday
An increasingly windy day today with gusts to 50mph across the Western Isles. It will also be an unsettled, cloudy day with outbreaks of rain and drizzle across much of Britain, mixed with some drier interludes. In the morning the rain be heaviest across western Scotland, north west England and western Wales. This then spreads into central southern England in the afternoon. Expect maximum temperatures of 14 to 18 Celsius across northern Britain and 18 to 20 Celsius across the south.

Sunday Night
In the evening and night it will be staying quite windy. The heavier rain clears from eastern parts of England during the evening with much of Britain then dry. There will be another pulse of heavy rain getting into north west Scotland late in the evening and overnight this spills in across much of Scotland into Cumbria. Showers will affect Northern Ireland. Expect a mild night with minimum temperatures of 11 to 15 Celsius.

Monday
Very windy and cooler today with gales across northern Britain. Gusts to 50mph to affect the higher ground. Persistent rain to affect northern Scotland with occasional, blustery showers across northern England, Northern Ireland and Wales. An area of heavy rain moving through the channel may affect the channel coasts but this is uncertain at this time. Still windy for the evening and night. With showers across western areas of northern Britain. Any rain in the far south east should clear this evening. Expect highs of 12 to 17 Celsius.

Tuesday
Windy today across northern and eastern parts of Britain and staying chilly. Occasional showers to come across Northern Ireland, western Scotland, north west England and western Wales. The rest of Britain should be fine and dry as high pressure builds in from the west. Best of the sunshine should be in the morning with more cloud in the afternoon. Rain is expected across northern Scotland with the rest of Britain dry and clear overnight. Expect highs of 12 to 17 Celsius.
