Dry overall and very warm although watch for isolated thundery showers

Higher pressure stays in control of the weather of the coming days bringing plenty of dry weather and very warm conditions too. Northwest Scotland may suffer from low cloud and drizzle, but overall it should be dry. A few thundery showers breaking out on Sunday and Monday afternoon before turning drier again into the middle of next week.

Monday 19/6/17
Weak fronts continue to affect Scotland and Northern Ireland on Monday. These give a few outbreaks of rain, most in the west. England, Wales and southern Ireland will be brighter with some sunny spells, although it is possible that some thundery showers may affect Wales, central and southern England although confidence in this is low. Another very warm day at 29C in southern England, 12C in northern Scotland.


Tuesday 20/6/17
High pressure is expected to be centred over the UK on Tuesday. This brings a fair day to most with good spells of sunshine although there will be some cloud affecting eastern counties at first. Southern coats of England may see a shower in the afternoon. Highs at 26C in southern England, 15C in northern Scotland.
 


Wednesday 21/6/17
High pressure is expected off the east of England on Wednesday with low pressure to the west. There will be good spells of sunshine and mostly dry weather in the east. More western areas are likely to be dry too but there is a risk of thundery showers developing over Ireland. Highs at 19C in the east, 25C in the southwest.
 


Thursday 22/6/17
A front edges through Scotland and Ireland on Thursday bringing patchy rain here. Higher pressure to the east gives a dry day across more eastern and southern areas. Highs at 18 to 25C.


Friday 23/6/17
Low pressure passes to the north of Scotland on Friday with low pressure to the south. This brings some rain in northern and western Scotland as well as the north and west of Ireland. More southern areas should be dry with bright spells here. Highs at 16C in northern Scotland, 23C in southern England.

Saturday 24/6/17
A ridge of high pressure builds in from the west to give sunny spells and dry weather. There will be cloud and some showers in northern and eastern Scotland. Highs at 17 to 24C.
