Rain mainly across northern Scotland

With a cell of high pressure building in across Britain, much of this upcoming week is looking largely settled and dry for many. Fronts will bring rain in across Scotland at times with a risk of showers in the south on Thursday. Temperatures will rise as it becomes very warm and more humid by the weekend.

Wednesday 14/06/17
A front brings outbreaks of rain to Northern Ireland and northern Scotland through the day. Apart from a few isolated showers across the north, most of England and Wales will be fair and dry with varying cloud and sunnier spells. Feeling warm in the sunshine. Rain lingers across northern Scotland and Northern Ireland in the night. Expect high of 17 to 23C.


Thursday 15/06/17
Mostly cloudy and breezy across Britain today with scattered showers. In the morning more persistent rain may affect parts of Scotland. Most of the showers along with the rain in the north tends to fade away early in the evening with most areas dry then in the night. Expect highs of 16 to 23C.
 


Friday 16/06/17
Apart from some rain across northern and western parts of Scotland, high pressure should give much of Britain a dry, settled day with good spells of sunshine. Rain persists across northern Scotland overnight with the remainder of Britain dry. Look for highs of 17 to 21C.
 


Saturday 17/06/17
Very warm across England and Wales today and apart from the odd shower across the Pennines, it looks fine, dry and mostly sunny. More rain is in the forecast for northern Scotland with a few showers across Northern Ireland. Expect highs of 18 to 26C.

 
 
 


Sunday 18/06/17
Another very warm, summery day in store for central and southern parts of England along with Wales. Feeling humid as well. Here it will be dry with hazy sunshine. Rain is likely across northern Britain and this may be heavy. As the rain heads south in the evening and night it becomes less heavy. Highs of 15 to 26C.

Monday 19/06/17
Not as warm or humid today with any rain across eastern England clearing. A few showers may affect North Sea coasts, otherwise a dry day with sunnier spells and variable amounts of cloud. Expect highs of 15 to 23C.
