Monday 05/06/17
An active area of low pressure is expected to pass eastwards across Britain & Ireland. Heavy and persistent falls of rain spreading to most areas through the day, but eastern Britain may escape dry for several hours - any early sun disappearing as cloud thickens from the west. Blustery winds, locally reaching gale force in the west & south-west. Up to 20C in the south-east, but 14 to 17C for most, cool in rain.

Tuesday 06/06/17
Low pressure moves out into the North Sea, producing rain across northern Britain for a time, followed by showers. Strong to locally gale force winds. Conditions should ease as a brief ridge of high pressure builds from the west, giving sunny spells. Another low then advances in from the Atlantic, thickening cloud, and bringing rain to Ireland and south-west Britain later. A fresh feel, highs 15 to 19C.

Wednesday 07/06/17
An unsettled south-westerly pattern. Low pressure to the north-west. Fronts moving in from the Atlantic bring a risk of persistent rain, particularly in the west - some heavy falls over the hills. Clusters of showers spreading to most areas, locally frequent rain. Drier toward the east, where it may become warm in any sun. Breezy, or windy in exposed spots. Highs 16 to 22C.

Thursday 08/06/17
Low pressure to the west or north-west maintains an unsettled theme. As winds turn more to the south, warmer air may be drawn across central & south-east England. Rain most persistent toward the west & north, some heavy bursts. Winds may ease. Highs 17C north & west - cooler in rain, but may be up to 24C south-east.

Friday 09/06/17
As fronts move eastwards into warm and humid air, some thundery rain is possible across central & south-eastern areas, although confidence of detail is low. Showery overall. Feeling fresher in the west & north. Highs 16 to 22C.

Saturday 10/06/17
A brief ridge of high pressure builds later into the weekend, although this may be short lived as low pressure over the Atlantic threatens to redevelop. Perhaps dry with sunny spells for many, but a risk of rain returning. Highs 17 to 23C.
