Turning Milder
Often Unsettled

Predominantly unsettled as low pressure dominates and turning milder too, especially across England and Wales

For the weather for the next few days click here

Sunday 11/3/18
An unsettled day for many areas with rain across Scotland, perhaps with sleet and snow on hills slowly clearing away to the north and then much of the British Isles having a day of sunshine and showers, the showers locally heavy with thunder across more southern and south-western areas. A mild day, especially compared with of late and particularly so across England and Wales. Breezy in the south and west in particular. Highs 3C to 7C in Scotland, elsewhere 8C to 14C.

Monday 12/3/18
Monday is set to remain unsettled as low pressure continue to dominate the weather across the British Isles. Showery weather is likely across more northern areas, perhaps wintry on Scottish hills. AT the moment a new developing area of low pressure may well bringing a greater risk of longer spells of heavy rain across more central and southern areas of England and Wales through the day. Windy in the south and west, winds lighter further north. Highs 4C to 11C.

Tuesday 13/3/18
A mainly dry start to Tuesday is possible, perhaps with some brighter intervals but the unsettled weather conditions will continue with a likely renewed period of wet and windy conditions spreading eastwards through the course of the day, risk of some heavy rain in the north and west, perhaps wintry on hills and also potentially windy in the north and west too, winds lighter further south and east. Highs 4C to 10C.

Wednesday 14/3/18
Uncertainties over the details but the unsettled weather patterns are likely to continue as low pressure dominates to the west and north-west with perhaps further low pressure systems moving over the UK through the day. Often unsettled, as a result, with further rain and showers especially in the north and west, often heavy, perhaps some drier intervals in the south and east. Windy, especially in the north and west. Highs 4C to 10C.

Thursday 15/3/18
It is set to remain unsettled through into Thursday of next week at the moment with most of the weather models continuing to signal low pressure being the dominant feature of the weather. It is, as a result, likely to remain mostly cloudy for many areas with further rain and showers, perhaps especially across northern and western areas where locally heavy. Perhaps some drier and brighter intervals in the south and east at times. Remaining windy, especially in thh north and west, strong or local gales possible. Highs 4C to 9C.

Friday 16/3/18
Uncertain, but potentially becoming cooler, if not colder from the north or north-west as low pressure tracks to the north of the UK but likely maintaining further unsettled weather with rain or showers at times across most areas, perhaps wintry across northern high ground. Windy still in the north and west. Highs 2C to 5C in the north and west, 4C to 10C in the south and east.
