Often windy

With the jet stream running just to the south of Britain, it will develop fairly deep Atlantic low pressure areas to the west of Ireland. The lows and associated weather fronts will often bring in spells of heavy rain and gusty winds. Temperatures will be below normal until late in the week.

Tuesday 06/06/17
A very windy and cool day to come across Britain. As deep low pressure clears into the North Sea outbreaks of rain in the morning will clear eastwards leaving lots of cloud and plenty of showers, some heavy. The rain though could persist across eastern parts of England and Scotland until late in the day. Expect high of 12 to 16C.

Wednesday 07/06/17
A front may spread outbreaks of rain in across Wales, Northern Ireland and the southern half of England although the northward extent of the rain isn't certain at present. Drier and brighter to the north with shower across western parts of Scotland. Windy across Scotland today. Expect highs of 13 to 18C.
 

Thursday 08/06/17
Across much of Britain it will be staying unsettled as a weather front gives a wet day across the country. The rain will be heavy in places and it looks rather windy across England and Wales. As this rain clears most areas by evening and other pulse of heavy rain may spread back in across England and Wales overnight. Look for highs of 13 to 19C.
 

Friday 09/06/17
Morning rain across eastern parts of England and Scotland clear to showers in the afternoon. A showery day to come across western areas with lots of showers, many heavy. The showers fade in the evening then dry overnight with clear spells. Expect highs of 16 to 21C.
 

Saturday 10/06/17
A warmer day to come. Outbreaks of rain are forecast to spread into western parts of Britain in the afternoon after a dry morning. Eastern areas may stay fair and dry until late evening or overnight. Highs of 17 to 22C.

Sunday 11/06/17
Rather windy and unsettled across the United Kingdom with deep low pressure to the north west. Persistent rain in the morning may clear leaving an afternoon of showers, some locally heavy. Expect highs of 16 to 23C.
