For the weather for the next few days click here

Thursday 3/8/17
Low pressure passing through Scotland on Thursday. This is going to be bringing another unsettled day across the UK and Ireland. There will be showers, some of them heavy, these tending to pass through in bands. The showers may be thundery at times and there is a risk of hail too. The most persistent of them in the north and west. The best of any sunshine to the east and south. Highs at 17 to 23C.

Friday 4/8/17
Low pressure is to the east of the country on Friday. A more northwesterly flow will take hold bringing sunny spells for all. There will be further showers, these mostly in Scotland and across western coasts of England, Wales and Ireland. A few showers making it into the Midlands, but few across more eastern and southern areas. Highs at 16 to 22C and feeling cool in the breeze in the north and west.

Saturday 5/8/17
The west to northwest flow persists into Saturday with higher pressure to the south and lower pressure north of the UK and Ireland. This brings sunny spells and plenty of dry weather through eastern and southern areas, but the west and north always at risk of a shower. An odd heavier shower could break out just about anywhere in the afternoon. Highs at 15 to 17 in the north and west, but to 24C in southeast England.

Sunday 6/8/17
A ridge of high pressure is expected to build across all areas on Sunday. This will b bringing dry conditions with sunny spells. The sunny spells lasting through the day for most and it should be dry too. Highs at 18 to 25C.

Monday 7/8/17
Sunshine and showers on Monday as a trough passes east. The showers could be heavy at times. A risk of thunderstorms too. Highs near 16 to 24C.

Tuesday 8/8/17
Further showers through Tuesday, the heaviest of them probably in the east. Drier in western areas with sunny spells, although a passing shower can't be ruled out here either. Highs at 17 to 23C.
