A bright morning for many with good spells of sunshine in England and Wales. There will be some showers and more cloud in East Anglia and southeast England. Further showers in Scotland, most in central and southern areas where some cloud be heavy. Cloudier here too. The showers remaining heavy in the afternoon in central and southern Scotland, these pushing into northern England and Ireland perhaps merging to more persistent reain with a risk of thunder. Brighter still for the rest of England and Wales with sunny spells and an odd shower. Cloud and a few showers in northern Scotland. fair in the south of Ireland although a risk of a shower later. A fresh west to southwesterly in the south with highs at 12 to 15C in Scotland and northern England, 18C in Ireland, 21C in southeast England.

Sunday Night
More persistent rain in northern England tonight, some of it heavy at first in the northeast. Scattered showers in northern Scotland and western Wales. Mostly dry elsewhere with clear spells. Lows at 6 to 9C.

Monday
Low pressure extends through the British Isles on Monday. This brings plenty of cloud with some showery outbreaks of rain on Monday morning. Most of the rain in northern England and southern Scotland. A few showers around coasts too. Many will be dry with sunny spells. The afternoon sees some showers in Wales and the Midlands as well as eastern England. A few heavy showers in central Scotland and eastern Ireland. Drier for others with further sunny spells, although cloud increasing in southern England. Highs at 21C in southeast England, 12C in northwest Scotland.

Tuesday
Pressure stays low on Tuesday. Troughs bringing some heavy showers, a few of them thundery and mostly through southwest England, southern Wales and parts of the southern Midlands. Further heavy showers in Scotland, again these thundery and focused in the north. Elsewhere sunny spells and occasional showers, the best sunshine in northern England. Some Highs at 11C in northern Scotland, 23C in southern England.
