Locally very warm southeast
A fine summer's day across central and southern England, with prolonged sunshine and very warm conditions. Further north, Northern Ireland, northern England and much of Scotland will remain cloudier, with occasional light rain, becoming more persistent across the Hebrides later in the day. Highs of 20 to 22C for most areas, rising to around 28C across southern and eastern England.
Cloud and outbreaks of rain will persist across northern parts of Ireland and western Scotland through the evening and overnight, with the chance of some light rain extending into northwest England. Elsewhere it will remain dry with lengthy clear spells. Minimum temperatures of around 14C in the north and 19C in the south.
