Extensive and in places thick fog is expected within the highlighted region, with visibility in places reduced below 100 m. Although traffic is likely to be lighter given that it is the weekend, there is still potential for delays and increased risk of car accidents as traffic flows increase early this morning. Fog will tend to lift and clear from most places by mid-morning. What Should I Do? Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, leaving extra journey time, or amending plans if necessary. Make sure you know how to switch on your fog lights, and check they are working before setting off on your journey.
